God is Love

Discouragement can be a real struggle in this life. The Apostle John knew it, the early Church knew it, and we all know it today as well. This week as we continue in our study of John’s letter, we see how he works to encourage the church as he reminds us all of the Father’s love.  What does Scripture tell us about the love of God? How does the Biblical definition of love counteract the world’s lies? Why can we be comforted by the fact that God is love?
