Last week, we kicked off our series with an overview of the gospel of Jesus. This week, we’re exploring why some people, even while knowing the truth, can end up deserting said gospel. People don’t usually just decide one day to desert Christ; the problem is that, often, we choose along the way to let our guard down. By not taking seriously the message of Jesus and the grace we’ve been given, we can find ourselves slipping away one compromise at a time. Why would someone end up choosing anything but the one true gospel? How can we avoid the tendency to stray? What are some ways to make sure that we will stay firmly in the gospel of Christ?  The enemy will use every tool at his disposal to draw us away from the truth.
