Latest Sermon
Last week we opened our series by looking at how the Sermon on the Mount is a call from Jesus to live counterculturally, beginning by examining the first four of the Beatitudes, and we’re continuing our study this week by looking into the last four. The call to live counterculturally is not always an easy charge; not many will understand it. One of the key truths of the Beatitudes is that they clash with popular worldly values. How do we respond to the call to live counterculturally? What would it look like to choose pleasing God over pleasing the crowd? What are some encouragements that can be found in these passages of Scripture? By studying the Beatitudes, we are given a reminder of why we choose to live this way and how, by doing so, we can shape the world around us. Join us as we dive deeper into the words of Jesus as we close out this amazing section of the Sermon on the Mount.
