The Enduring News of Christmas

The way our culture views the Christmas season is very different from the way it was viewed by the early church. Because of greed, capitalism, and consumerism, we tend to put the Christmas season, and thus its message, into a very limited box. Culturally, we see Christmas as the end of something, just another date to mark off on the calendar, but this could not be further from the truth; Christmas is not the ending of something, but rather the beginning! The message of Christmas gives us the greatest news ever to be had, that God is with us. God IS with us. No matter what life looks like, or how limited our vision, we have the promise that our Father is with us always. This enduring news can have a great impact on our lives if we allow ourselves to take it to heart. How do we remain mindful of the enduring news of Christmas?
