In Our Home

This week we’re looking at what we need to do in order to take hold of the Kingdom life Jesus offers us in our homes. We find an excellent example of how to do so in Scripture, with the familiar story of the sisters Mary and Martha, and the different ways they attend to Jesus when He is invited into their home. While one sister worked to ensure that everything was perfect for their guest, the other simply sat at Jesus’ feet, and was attentive to Him in that way. While neither of these sisters was sinning, one of them allowed her busyness to distract her from what truly mattered in her home. How can we take hold of Kingdom life in our homes? What are some disciplines that can help us stay in the presence of God? What makes a Christian home? Join us as we learn how to reprioritize our lives and make time for Jesus as we continue our series.
