Week 8

Money is mentioned in Scripture in several different places. This week, we’re taking a look at the story of the Rich Young Ruler; a young man who wanted to know what he needed to do to get into Heaven, but was saddened by the fact that his money stood between him and his love of God. Jesus even tells us that we cannot serve both God and money, hinting at how we ought to focus and live our lives. Money and other earthly things have a way of pulling our focus, however, and blinding us to matters of the eternal. What are the things that we’re holding tightly to? How do we keep our stuff from getting in the way of our love for Christ? What do we need to do to help keep our minds on eternity? Whatever we do or do not have are gifts from God. Watch as we learn how to put some perspective onto the things in our lives, and focus our hearts on what truly matters as we continue our series.
